(I posted my answer in the other topic you opened) just to say that yggdrasil's answer is not quite correct
The verb is AIMER
(i'm ok with that)
Martin s'est marié.
Martin est rentre' apres neuf ANS.
Vrai Martin Guerre s'est rentre'
(bad French, the answer would much more be "Martin est rentré de la guerre or Vrai, Martin Guerre (if this is his family name) est rentré)
Il n'a aime' pas
(wrong, this isn't French at all, it is il n'a pas aimé)
la ville a eu content, or la ville avait content (Depending)
(DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING !!! La ville a été contente, because the auxiliary used with the verb "être" is "avoir")
Martin avait sympa. But the correct verb is etre.
(Indeed, so if the verb is être, you should say "Martin a été sympa")
Martende a aime' or Martende amait (Depending)
(As you were asking smth using the "passé composé", which yggdrasil didn't know, her first solution is the one)

French also has MANY MANY past tenses,
passe' compose' and imparfait I used here.

Didn't want to downgrade yddrasil's answer at all, she was kind enough to answer you, it was just to notify the few mistakes she did.Anyway, if your question was more explicit, and if you had done the effort to copy out the text correctly, maybe we wouldn't have had such a hard time
1) understanding what the instructions are
2) understanding what you are saying in French (though I'm a French native speaker)
