He's right.
No, there is no provison for the forgiveness of the fallen angels that we are told about in the Bible.
What the Bible does say is this:
Revelation 12:7-8
7 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war, 8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.
Matthew 25:41 41 "Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

Your religious friend is right. The angels that were kicked pit of heaven cannot be forgiven. They are now considered evil spirits along with Satan. They are lost forever.

The angels who sinned cannot be forgiven.
The reason for that is that they have a far vaster and clearer knowledge of things than we do.
In their act of decision, they knew exactly and with complete comprehension what the good was and decided to reject it.
As a result, their choice was one of absolute and pure malice.
With us humans, on the other hand, we live in a kind of twilight of knowledge.
We can do wrong and know that we are doing wrong, but there is a strong element of ignorance in it as well.
We can be forgiven because in a sense we can say we "didn't know."
That is why Jesus on the Cross said: "forgive them Father for they know not what they do."
But that could never be said of any fallen angel.

I don't really think they can, but I might be wrong. Look at Satan he was an angel at one time, he got cast out. But he didn't want to get forgiven either.

I personally feel that they will not be given another chance as they were around to witness all of the wonderous things God created and they decided to pitch in with Satan to overthrow Him. I cannot help but wonder what he said to each individual as they were told to leave his presence forever, but I would just about guarantee many felt sorry for what they did. Perhaps they got to stay, perhaps not. If it were me and I was boss and someone did something so very against company policy, they would be terminated and it would not matter how much I liked them. It would be a matter of principal. What's right is right and they certainly knew the difference.

Fraid not, in Christianity forgiveness is for humans only. The demons of hell do not get as fair a trial as the rest. On the other hand, Free will was a human only gift as well...Hmm, without fre will how did they rebel?
If you want a good story on the thing check out Demon the Fallen, it's a gaming system but it broaches an interesting topic.

that guy is correct, angels who have committed sins cannot be allowed forgiveness or salvation.
Jesus talks about the only unforgivenable sin and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which Satan is the NUMBER ONE being to have committed this notorious act.
He was the first to be created by God. He walked the stones of fire on God's Holy Mountain. God created Satan perfect and flawless in everyway. Satan's pride and disobedience caused him to fall from Heaven(Satan wanted to be equal with God, above God), but he cannot be. Is the creation equal to the Creator? NO, even though mankind is created in the image of God, we are not equal.
Demon and fallen angels have committed this act of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which they were in the presence of God and yet they still rejected him.
might I add that fallen angels did not partake in the rebellion of Satan. Fallen angels are the "sons of God" referred to in Genesis who committed great sexual sins with the daughters of men, which created the giants of that day. The fallen angels were on God's side in the war in Heaven, but they later rejected God when they lusted after the women on Earth. These angels are known as the watchers and their story is in the book of Enoch. they also gave forbidden knowledge to mankind, when God strictly forbad angels from allowing sinfual man to know the secrets and truths about the Kingdom of Heaven(such as weapon weilding, making swords, knives, and so forth.)

Maybe, but probably not for a very very long time. They will likely never be allowed back in Heaven again either.

The lake of fire was created for satan and all the fallen angels. It was never intended to be for man.
