Well your Mom has probably already planned for 5 girls. You know birthday parties arent cheap. Your parents are offering you a party and you are complaining!!!!?? It is always too bad when a invitation cant be given to anyone else but your parents made the decision and they are sticking to it. You sound very whiny and demanding maybe thats why they said No.

Parent are parents and they do what they feel is the best for their child and that does not make them mean. You are very lucky to have parents that have rules. You need to obey their rules - the more you do the more they will trust you. Perhaps, in the past, you did something to make them not trust you a bit. You also have to consider the size of your parent's house and the potential mess all of your friends could make without offering to help clean it all up. When you become a parent you will be thankful your parents had rules and you will have them for your children also.

Your parents arent mean- they probably just don't want a house full of noisy kids! Maybe they don't like this kid, or think it will cause problems if he/she comes over. Be grateful that you get to have a birthday party at all- some parents don't care enough to even FEED their kids!

youre parents aren't mean. they just don't want to many kids for to many reasons. i get sick of people who don't put themselves in other people's shoes before thwy say something.
i get mad about these things all the time. and besides, if they let you bring one more, you will start to have this power thing in your head and start asking for other things.
anyways, the most friends i have over or take out on my birthday is three or four.
just sit in youre room for 2 minutes and think about it, i'm sure you will then understand where they are coming from.
yea, i'm sure its agravating. but what can you do. its life.

That is harsh. As a parent I'd let you invite that 5th person, but that would be IT.

tell them how hurt that one friend will be. tell them how you would feel if you were that one friend and you werent invited. parents cant resist a guilt trap. as soon as they say yes, call ur friend and invite them before they can chage their mind. and thank your parents!

because they can. or maybe you've given them a reason with past behavior. it can take a lifetime to build up a good reputation, but only a moment to destroy one.
