We've been dating for over 2 years now. He's my best friend and I think I love him. However, I always feel like I have stronger feelings for him than he does for me. He doesn't seem to want to stay together when we go off to college next fall. I'm just not sure if it's worth it to stay together...there's another guy I have a crush on and he pays more attention to me and seems like he actually cares...as opposed to my current boyfriend who plays computer games while he's talking to me on the phone.

I don't really want to break things off with my boyfriend, but wouldn't I be better off?

I don't even know how a boyfriend is supposed to treat his girlfriend because this is my first relationship.

you both sound bored and dis-satisfied. If the fruit on the tree is gone, move on.

No you shouldn't stay with him. You are too good for him and deserve someone way better. If he doesn't want to stay with you through college, that means his heart is in a different place than yours. It's going to be hard to leave him, but if you're really strong and ready to move on, then you will be okay. I know what it's like to be in a relationship where you give more than the other person, and I know how hard it is to love someone who doesn't feel the same back. Whatever the choice, it's not going to be easy. Good luck.

Hmm... he sounds a bit immature.
Let him know how you feel and talk to him about it.
Then you two can make a final decision.

And where exactly is the other guy going to college?
What if he's thinking the same thing... moving on.

If you and your boyfriend break-up, maybe you should just wait and see what happens in college. You might meet someone there instead.

well i kinda think that you would be better off with the guy that you have a cruch on rather than ur b/f.he sounds like he would trat you alot better.and ur current b/f right now doesnt sound like a guy that wants to be with you in the long haul. In a relationship a guy is suppossed to treat you with respect, and be loyal to you and listen to what you have to say.if hes playing a computer game while talking to you on the phone hes probably way more in to the game and verything ur saying is probably just going in what ear and out the other.but thats my opinion.so what im trying to say is that i think you would be better off with the crush rather that your current b/f!!but if you love urb/f stay with him.good luck!!i wish u the best!!!:)

Just ask him if he wants to stay together while you are at college. If he doesn't than break up now and save both of you the inevitable. First relationships are rarely life long - it does happen but rarely. Just be honest with your boyfriend.

Decide who is the right one for you.Who will love you and cator to your one and every need?If you don't want to breakup with your current boyfriend, then tell him how you feel.Tell him that he needs to decide if he wants you or not. But,don't be sad if he says no because nobody can turn you down. You are better then him.Don't hang around someone that doesn't care about you.You need to make a choice.

Sounds like you're simply growing out of him and have decided it's time to try things with someone else. There's nothing wrong with that. You're young, he's young....you need a lot more time to grow!
Trust me....when you're around 25, you're going to look back on yourself right now and say "What was I thinking?"

Personally you should break up. He sounds ver self centered. And drop the other guy hints. Maybe the new guy will make a move!
Hope all goes well.

You will have many different b/f's in your lifetime. Enjoy being young, b/c most likely you will laugh at your first b/f when you are older. You may think you are in love now, but you have probably not found your true love!
