Zion is the city of David in the Bible. Zion belonged to the Israelites after David, a king of Israel, took the city using military means. The city of Zion was also used in the Bible to house the ark of the Covenant, a structure which housed the Ten Commandments, the ones which God gave the Israelites on Mount Sinai. It was considered a sacred structure, not to be touched by the commonpeople on pain of death.
Zionism is a belief which advocates the protection of Jews and defense of Jews against anti-Semitism. Zionism was started in the 1940s by a Jew named Theodor Herzl. His concern for Jews in general began when he went to France to see the trial of a Jewish soldier who served in the French army because of accusations of treason. When in France, he did not only realize that the Jew on trial was discriminated against, but there was also open hatred for him displayed, since Herzl was a Jew himself. Because of that, he started a movement which was geared mainly to protect the Jews from discrimination and harm. This movement also included a push for a state (Israel) for Jews, so that Jews could find a state to live securely in. This resulted in the foundation of Israel in the 1940s.
A Zionist is an advocate of Zionism; that is, a Zionist would be against anti-Semitism and would be for the protection of the Jews.

It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth. Like the utmost heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King.

-There are many scriptures on Zion.

zion: originally a stronghold captured by David (the 2nd king of the Israelites); above it was built a temple and later the name extended to the whole hill; finally it became a synonym for the city of Jerusalem

zionisism: A Jewish movement that arose in the late 19th century in response to growing anti-Semitism and sought to reestablish a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Modern Zionism is concerned with the support and development of the state of Israel.

Ze'ev (Vladimir) Jabotinsky was undoubtedly the most outstanding liberal Zionist leader. He was born to a Jewish traditionalist middle-class family, in Odessa on October 18, 1880 and died on August 4, 1940 in New York. He received his basic education in Russia and moved to Rome in 1898 to study jurisprudence. Like the majority of intellectual Jewish youth at the time, Jabotinsky was captivated by the dream of a more just Marxist society.

However, from the beginning of this Socialist phase of his life, Jabotinsky's political intuition alerted him to the danger inherent in the prominent role of Jews in the worldwide war of classes declared by Marxism against the bourgeoisie and religion. Thus in his first Zionist speech pronounced in Bern in 1898, there was already what later became the leitmotif of his Zionist thought and action -- the conviction of imminent fatal danger to the European Jewish communities.

Jabotinsky participated in the elaboration of the Helsingfors (Helsinki) Plan adopted by the Russian Zionist Congress in 1906, which demanded autonomy for Jews and the other Russian ethnic minorities. He remained loyal to this Liberal approach when established scores of years later with respect to the Arab citizens of the future Jewish State: " Each one of the ethnic communities will be recognized as autonomous and equal in the eyes of the law."

In 1920 Jabotinsky organized the Jewish self-defense in Jerusalem and founded the Haganah, which constituted the basis of the Israeli Army in 1948. As a result he was sentenced by the British to 15 years of forced labor. However, worldwide public protest brought about his release after only three months in prison. In 1925, Jabotinsky founded the Union of Revisionist Zionists (URZ), antecedent of the Likud (Union) Party which now heads the Israeli government. The URZ opposed the policy of selected immigration (hachshara) oriented toward the creation of a Marxist society, and demanded the mass evacuation of the Eastern-European Jewry. In 1935, he founded the New Zionist Organization in a desperate effort to save European Jewry from the imminent holocaust.

Until 1950, the name of the Jerusalem Post was THE PALESTINE POST; the journal of the Zionist Organization of America was NEW PALESTINE; Bank Leumi was the ANGLO-PALESTINE BANK; the Israel Electric Company was the PALESTINE ELECTRIC COMPANY; there was the PALESTINE FOUNDATION FUND and the PALESTINE PHILHARMONIC. All these were Jewish organizations. In America, Zionist youngsters sang "PALESTINE, MY PALESTINE", "PALESTINE SCOUT SONG" and "PALESTINE SPRING SONG." In general, the terms Palestine and Palestinian referred to the region of Palestine as it was. Thus, "Palestinian Jew" and "Palestinian Arab" are straightforward expressions. "Palestine Post" and "Palestine Philharmonic" refer to these bodies as they existed in a place then known as Palestine. The adoption of a Palestinian identity by the Arabs of Palestine is a recent phenomenon. Until the establishment of the State of Israel, and for another decade or so, the term Palestinian applied exclusively to the Jews.

Our worldwide is divided in 2 significant categories: The Leaders and the followers. those Christian good persons are no longer something yet mindless television people who could consume, drink or have self assurance something the "field" tells them to do. i do no longer blame them needless to say. I blame the Jewish Media barons that provide them unfastened-time of their tightly controlled television stations just to get some backup help for their little Israeli video games. the element that those Jews do no longer comprehend is, that maximum of those persons are illiterate, very low earnings persons that ought to (and that i've got self assurance they're going to finally) turn sooner or later against their Jewish puppeteers. Ever observed that a number of those persons that submit right here think of that they are fairly doing "a stable element" with the aid of helping an apartheid state? they have all of the fascist factors blended with a small dose of religion and an excellent style of "showmanship". Has all people considered certainly one of their television prophets that kicks or hits his followers till all of them fall semi-subconscious on the floor, on a similar time as the rabid objective marketplace is cheering in sheer exhilaration? remarkable tutor! Greetings
