I am not Insured and was in a not at fault accident. The driver that is at fault is insured but he said i need to be insured also. He clearly ran into me and i have two witnesses. Is there any way i can approach an insurance company to represent me.

Nope the best you can do is get a lawyer. Or get ahold of his insurance company and file a claim.. But if you are driving you NEED TO HAVE INSURANCE..... AND A LICENSE

I dont think any insurance co. will represent you being that you were not covered at the time of the accident. If you have two witnesses than you should be good to file a claim against his insurance. Did you get a police report documenting the accident and listng the witnesses? If so you are ok. The other guy is just trying to avoid liability.

An insurance company can't represent you in this because you haven't paid for insurance. However, if you got the insurance information for the guy who hit you, you can contact them directly. I would also get a copy of the police report (if there was one) and get contact information for the witnesses. I don't know what state you are in, but in CA you cannot be compensated for "pain and suffering" if you were uninsured - there is this "No pay, no play" law in CA - but you are entitled to damages - the cost of your car and medical expenses. If the at fault parties insurer is not helpful, you may want to contact an attorney.

No, no insurance company is going to help you. You need a lawyer. Pronto!

Although you may not be at fault, in many jurisdictions you are not entitled to collect if you are not insured yourself. It's called, "No play, no pay." LA is like that, for example, as is the UK if memory serves correctly. In that case, it won't matter how many witnesses you have, you're SOL.

Depending on your state you may not be entitled to any damages if you dont have insurance of your own. Because really- why should you collect money from someone when you would not have been able to provide it yourself if you were in their situation?

Why were you driving without insurance anyways? Could you imagine what would happen if you injured someone in an accident? You could be in debt your entire life paying them back... People dont realize how dangerous it is to drive without insurance.

Laws vary by states , some will say you have no claim , some will say you are 1/2 at fault. Call a local lawyer.

How much was the damage ? Go to small claims court if the damage was severe.

And legally, you are in the wrong if you are driving uninsured. He can make the claim that had you not been on the road, he wouldn't have hit you.
