Post fliers with pictures of your dog on it around your neighborhood, in an ad in your local news paper, at local veterinary clinics, and your humane society etc. and don't forget to include information such as name, sex, color, eyes, temperment, whether or not he's neutered, if he has a collar or not, when and where he was last seen etc.

Good luck! I hope you find him.

I hope you get your dog back. I have known people to be reunited with their missing animals several months after the disappearance. A website like Petfinder might help. Putting signs up at intersections, ad in the local papers, check out shelters and animal control every couple of days to see if it has been turned into the stray sections there, Vet clinics, supermarkets and pet stores in the area that have bulletin boards where you can post a photo and description of your pet with the day it went missing. Sometimes it helps to write that a non-specified reward is offered and that your dog needs medication. Sometimes if a person is considering keeping a stray they found they will be more likely to return it if they believe it has a medical condition.

Hi, Mystified! I grew up next door in North Ridgeville!!! What school did you go to? When did you graduate? How cool!!! I am in Indianapolis, Indiana right now.

About your question: I lost my dog over the Christmas holiday last year. I was devastated and tried everything. Then, something told me to walk into the nearest vet office and ask them. Well, turns out, they received an e-mail of someone who had found my dog! After many days! I am sure somebody out there is taking good care and waiting to connect with you.

Good luck! Keep doing all the things you're doing. E-mail me and let me know if you find him!!!

It sounds like you have covered it all. I would start spreading out to a 5 mile radius of where you live. Post dated posters at every supermarket, vets office, laundromat & convenience store that will let you. I have had a cat get out a screen, and a dog get out while being watched & didn't sleep much for days till I got them back, so I empathize. Good luck - I hope you get him back as a Christmas miracle.

Hey, sorry to hear that. I had it happen with my cat outside the vet office. I live in Tiffin, Ohio.
Tell all your friends to spread the word and to keep an eye out for him. Also you should be able to put an add in the lost and found in your paper which should spread the word to a lot of people...It might cost a few $ but its worth it if you can get your dog back :)

Why don't you register yourself on the new lost and found website just for pets. You enter the info and it sends an e-mail to everyone (vets, animal shelters, etc.) that are also registered and are within a 15 mile radius of you.

You can also print up lost flyers to post around your neighborhood (grocery stores, vets offices, ANYWHERE).

We need to get as many people registered as possible......

Check it out, it's free! I'm registered although I hope I never have to use it.......

What about calling your local radio station(s)? They will probably pass the word over the air to their listeners. Hope you find your dog!

check all his favorite spots. tell the mail man to look for him (hes who always finds my dog when he runs away) put up more signs, leave a bowel of his favorite treats and water out side, and if all of that fails, get a new dog. sorry bout ur troubles, I know how it feels to have a dog run away :(

good luck
