Well, You are talking to a girl who has been where your son is. I held my secret for about 15 years. It came out one night when I was talking to a friend in confidence. She went and told my dad what HIS BROTHER had done to me and my cousin. My dad confronted him and told him that he either sought counceling, or he was going to call the police and have charges placed against him. In our situation, we did not want my Gma to know. SHe was not in good health, and we didnt want to upset her. So he went for counceling, and he was not allowed to be in the same house, or place as we were. My dad was very hurt, and cut him out of his life. Now, that I look back on it, I see that my uncle was sick. He had an illness. I am not standing up for him, just saying he needed help. He died about a year after all of this, but he was getting the help that he needed. My answer here is.. Talk to your son. Get him help. You can love your brother, but you dont have to LIKE him. Get help for him, and if you feel like he is not going to get the help he needs, or will re offend, call the police. God Bless you and your son.

besides kill him id do the best thing for the child. Obviously never have to put him in the situation of seeing him again. Unless in Court. If your having thoughts on whether or not to call the police just think if a man could do this to his own nephew what about all the other victims he may have. He WILL need counselling. The sooner the better.

Hmm this has probably got to mean sexual abuse. First of all never speak to this man again. Avoid him at all costs that is what I would do. i would never let any of my children aroudn him again, he would not be welcome with in ten feet of anyone i felt i needed to protect. Secondly I would press charges so that he at least has some preventive measures from doing it to another child, that there is some record of him being this way. I would have no sympathy brother or not. That is plain rong, Id also get my son councelling and let him feel safe again. I am so sorry this had to happen to your family. You are only as sick as your secrets so help you son heal from this.

2. Get your son to a doctor and see what kind of help he needs.

cut the uncle from your life obviously, and depending on what kind of abuse, press charges, put son into counselling if sexual

CALL THE POLICE - and NEVER leave a child alone w/ your brother again. This may seem harsh, but my family had dealt with this EXACT situation 15yrs ago. Get your kid into couseling asap w/ someone who deals with abused KIDS.

Your brother needs to face his illness or he will never get better!
Also insist he pay for counseling for the child.
