She'll figure it out soon enough. Someone at school will tell her. Let her believe for a little while, but don't let her go past like 10 b/c then she'll be that dorky kid that still believes in santa.

If she still believes..i would want to keep that for as long as possible .. however some parents teach from the beginning that it isnt about Santa Claus at all. it about Jesus being born and the gifts we give because of him..of course i will try to establish both in my kids' life as mine was... if she claims she KNOWS she probably caught someone (like i did at the same age) it wouldnt be the end of the world... in fact she could help with stuffing stocking for others ..or eating Santas cookies and milk.. the kids at school talk so much that its pretty hard to keep it a secret much longer anyway. but don't give up if you don't want to. My parents didnt have much money so every year they would say Santa doesnt have a whole lot to give this year, or something to that effect and it kind of gave it away a little, but not completely probably because we have this insane want to believe in all things magical. I wouldnt want that taken from me. but i wouldnt want to feel like the only one who was truly fooled. So its your call ultimately.... good luck i know its a tough one...perhaps make light of the subject like: yeah santa, its a myth but a cool one and not turn it into a funeral ya know what i mean .. Merry Christmas!

I don't think so that is when they are so innocent and believe in dreams and if you ruin the magic it will crush her dreams probably and Chrismas is the time of year for a young kid to have all there dreams come true that would be kinda mean to do that to her when she is so young and so I think you should tell her when she is 8 or 9 years old I found out when I was 8 and I didn't take it that bad.But it all depends on how mature she is because I was very mature when I was 8.
Good Luck!

Why would you do that? Once the magic is gone...it's gone. Besides that..Santa is real...in everyone this time of year.

no - just wait for her to figure it out for herself. they are only kids for a very short period and santa is part of the innocence of childhood. do not take that away from her this soon.

If she is happy and excited about santa still then i would let it go on. Let her come to you about it, it will be easier on her if it isn't sudden and she already ahs doubts.

no its not you should let her enjoy Santa as long as she possibly can. That's the high point of every child's year ans you're thinking of taking that away from her. Please do not do it
