Don't be ashamed of the gospel..for without it there is no salvation..it was first offered to the Jew, and then to us. We, as followers of God, live our loves by faith.

Here's my best guess:
I say that it means: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith.

Maybe this translation will help you more, I am not really sure what you don't understand... I have added the following few verses. Sometimes that helps.
Romans 1:16-23:
"For I am not ashamed of the good news; it is, in fact, God’s power for salvation to everyone having faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek; 17 for in it God’s righteousness is being revealed by reason of faith and toward faith, just as it is written: I
“But the righteous one—by means of faith he will live.”
18 For God’s wrath is being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who are suppressing the truth in an unrighteous way, 19 because what may be known about God is manifest among them, for God made it manifest to them. 20 For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable; 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened. 22 Although asserting they were wise, they became foolish 23 and turned the glory of the incorruptible God into something like the image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed creatures and creeping things.

Paul is saying here that he was not interested in puppet shows or give them want they want to hear candy, but the proven unhinder gospel. To preach any thing else Paul said was a curse.
The gospel was simply good news, You are lost Christ has made the road sign. The cross is a road sign for the souls to wonder everyday in this earth. The Jew first meaning Paul was obedient to Jesus who said starting in Jerusalem, Acts 1:8
The righteousness reavealed by faith
The bible makes it clear that the just should live by faith. Faith is the only way to please God. Hebrews 11:13 Now what are we believeing? Jesus says in John 8:24 "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." We are to believe in Christ. Now Paul is saying here that the rightouesness of God (Jesus) is revealed as we believe. Now the Just or the justifed shall live by faith. The challenge to all Christians is to live by faith. Paul says that our faith should be unmoveable.
The KEY verse is this. 1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
God Bless YOU

God revealed Himself to his chosen people first and some of them received Him due to their faith, the Greeks were then chosen to be a people to whom God revealed himself due to their advanced academic knowledge, so they came to believe in Him by reason, and from these two methods faith and reason so shall the faith be passed from one to another, and to those who accept God, they will live just lives based on this.

The gospel is not just something we read, but is something you live and when you live a life walking according to Gods instruction you become an example to others. When we do this God will show himself big in your life and through your ministry.

Dear Ones - The Jewish people are the chosen of God and live as such and receive salvation as such. The Greek (Roman, Pagan) converts are the beloved of God, they believe by faith alone that which has not been shown them, by faith they receive salvation. GOD BLESS ALL WHO COME TO THIS PLACE. AMEN

JC...
Jesus came to save all nations...Jews, Greeks and everyone else.
His gift of salvation is free and yours for the taking. Before Christ, there were 100 steps between us and God. When He (God) became flesh and died on the cross...He took 99 of those steps away. You must take the last one.
