Soldiers are just like guys in general. There's good ones; there's bad ones and there's all manner of in between. The trick is to find the difference before you get into a relationship. hances are the Soldier is more fit and trim and manly than the average bloke.

That's an unfair question. No one can generalize an entire group like that. Some are romanitc and caring, others have a bad mind. The only answers you're going to get here are from each personal experience, not the rule.
