Let her think, Dont break her heart and then end up in the streets! It's hard I now. But when we past we all answer to one person, the same person! It doesnt matter what you are....good luck!

I was raised catholic and have started on a path similar to this. I have decided to not tell my grandmother since religion is a very touchy topic in my family. If your grandmother is very sensitive and closed minded about religion then be careful of how you break the news because you shouldn't be afraid to tell your family anything. If she kicks you out ask her to be reasonable and let you stay until you can find a job and a place to live. If your grandma is open minded then you are in luck. Let her know you have joined a different religion and are becoming a Wiccan then if she reacts horribly wait til she calms down and then explain the basis and ideals held by wiccans and the things they believe in since many people have a very biased view of these things. Hopefully she will learn to except your choice. If not then I'm sorry but the christian church has made it real hard for people who are in faiths such as wiccans to make it known about themselves. I can't help it but good luck.

Look- what she doesn't know won't hurt her. People who are familiar with Wicca know that it is not evil or satanic or anything like that really, but your Catholic grandma will probably not see it that way. In addition to being Catholic, she's probably pretty old, right? So that will make her only more closed-minded about the whole thing. I don't think you should pretend to be a perfect example of a Catholic either, but you should not be too forthright about being Wiccan, or it could break your grandma's heart and cause you to get kicked out. Just don't say anything for or against Christianity and let her assume whatever she wants to.

If she kicks you out, it is proof that some people have a very strange brand of Christianity. She should tolerate your choice, your right to a choice and not try to interfere with your beliefs. Otherwise if she spouts "hellfire and brimstone" gibberish, just point out all the scandals that beset the Catholic Church and that you do not wish to support such a morally bankrupt yet self-righteous religion.

My brother has a wiccan girlfriend, and once, something really awkward happened she was over when my aunt was and my aunt is a nun! we were so sure my brothers girlfriend was about to get killed but she was really nice to her. any way, If your Grandma is a nice person I would tell her and explain that that is what my beliefs are I think it only fair for her to know because you are living with her

What you do is your business. I wouldn't tell her cause she won't understand. Follow your heart but i say keep it to yourself.

God bless!
