ALL dogs lick their faces. My part chow mutts used to lick their faces, my jack russel licked his face, my dachshunds lick their faces. It's just natural to dogs. Don't punish them for it; it's a GOOD thing, not bad. If he does it CONSTANTLY, try switching to a different dog shampoo and give him a bath, keep him out of dead animals, mud, ants, bees, and anything with a strong scent or any insect that might be biting him.
Let him lick and groom himself, and if he continues to do it all the time, ask your veterinarian about it, but he will still do it somewhat. Like I said, it's natural.
Hope I've helped, good luck!

Partly the contribution to this is because they have a very flat face. You can't stop him. It is caused sometimes because of breathing difficulties. If he is also breathing heavily you should take him to the vet for a respiratory test.

They are thinking that to be groomed they must first groom you.
Perhaps your fragrance attracts them. Skin salts & oils also attract them. But mainly it is a grooming issue and a pack mentality that they are grooming the pack leader(s).

One possibility is that he's nervous, and if everybody is bugging him about it, it's probably just making it worse!
