nothing, their would have to be at least SOME air in the room in order for the match to be able to light. Because the room is filled 100 percent with gas, your efforts to strike the match would be in vain.

You can't be in the room. If it is filled with 100% methane gas there can't be anything else in that room except methane gas!!
