I'm not sure about popular but the one that worked for my Husband is the following.

1. Stop caffeine.

2. Timed release Niacin 750 mg dosage. The pharmacy keeps it behind the counter although it is not a prescription. He stayed on it for several years to stop the noise in his ears.
He had horrible Tinnitus and Meneres for years. It kept it under control but once he stopped caffeine the noise stopped completely. Of course now he has about 50% hearing loss in both ears. Be prepared for hearing aids. But you can get the little ones now. He had his for a week before I knew he had it.

3. For the sinus and to clear it out. Take a hand towel, dampen it and heat it in the microwave for 40 seconds. Lay it on your face (careful it will be hot, but that's the point) to heat up your sinuses and make them drain.

After ruling out any infections or diseases that can be treated...there's not a ton you can do about it. The usual treatment is a hearing aid that plays a tone that offsets the tinnitus. It works well. Sometimes there's medicine you can take for certain conditions. Sometimes it's a sign of high blood pressure--gotta check it out to be sure. But if it's nerve damage or something like that, you're stuck with it.

Get thoroughly tested to rule out crystals and diseases, stuff like that. Your dr. should be able to tell you some options based on your individual case.

tinnitus, is dizziness or ringing in the ear. Prescription for this. Maybe your sinus is stopped up, tried warm cpmpresses around your sinuses. You need to get this stuff draining and you will notice a huge improvement if this indeed what it is.
