Be very careful! "A bruces" or "de bruces" in Spanish means flat on your face or your stomach, however you care to think of it. Tell your teacher that you didn't want to end up flat on your face by misusing his name!

If I had to address your teacher in Spanish, I'd adopt something proximate (and harmless!), like Bruno. Not all names translate!

There is no name for Bruce in Spanish. He obviously has adopted a name for myspace.

Bruce remains being Bruce in spanish.

Not all the names are translated because in principle it shouldn´t be done.
