The things we think of become true. Example: space travel.
Computers are becoming more powerful everyday. The speed of the Internet is also increasing. One day we will have super computers connected in a super powerful Internet. Our DNA in a way is our source code. If scientists come up with AI which is able to learn and introduce it to our Internet and our dna. If it becomes self aware it would start develop and probably rather fast. Will that not be God?? Or do you think im just weird to think this?

we all create God in our own way. some see an elderly man with a long white beard and the flowing robe etc etc. others see the traditional image of Jesus.(by the way since Jesus comes from Israel in physical form would he not be more likely to be darker skinned than the Ted Nugent (see a website) image we are bombarded with? But can we create a god? NO! but we can create and often do, a diety that we worship on different levels. I am talking about the worship of money, power, TV celebrities and so on. and just because a machine becomes self aware and can do wondrous things, it is still after all only a machine. And all machines depend on human involvement. We can choose to pull the plug so to speak. I can choose to turn my computer off or I can leave it on. I bet you have read or seen "I Robot" haven't you?
may i refer you to the question i posted a litle while ago about the internet? i got a very good answer and i think that answer may prove interesting to you. Peace brother...

First, awarness cresendos.

Humans are still in the grand scheme of the universe, obliviously unaware of most of it.

The Ultimate Computer is well documented:

"Any Sufficiently Advanced Technology is Indistinguishable from Magic."-Arthur C. Clarke.

Deus ex Machina, God from the Machine.

You can make anything a God simply by worshipping it:
Money, the Media, Paris Hilton, the Internet, Visa, McDonalds, The NFL, ...All Modern gods to many a fool.

Yes we can create a god, gods of different names were created for many different religions. Whether they are the same being or not is for the believers to say. As far as AI becoming a god, I don't think so because a god in a sense is a spiritual being not necessarily a physical being. But if you are thinking in the way of the matrix I think it could be possible but AI is only as smart as the person who programmed it. We have a long way to go before we can even begin to simulate the processing power and storage capacity of the human brain.

Our DNA is not a source code "in a way", it IS a code. And second, anyone can believe that wires and software might make a god, but they would be wrong. Because no matter how intelligent an AI machine might be, it still could not spark creation, and does not have a consciousness. A machine has awareness-- not consciousness.

it is possible for anything to happen. but something like that is beyond anything we're capable of. and no AI's cannot be introduced to our DNA. nanobots are the closest thing that can come to that. and the nanobot is something that is probably going to be created in the next 100 years for sure. read the Dune novels. and look for the book "the jesus incident" by frank herbert.

Religion was created by us. Generation after generation passed down these little tales of good and evil. The Bible was written hundreds of years after the man named Jesus walked the earth, but it is what Christians believe to be the absolute truth.

We already created God.

Well seeing that a god is an idol, which can be anything, then yea you can make a god.

Yahweh is the creator of heaven and earth not He is not a god or God.

A god is an idol and worshipers of gods would be called idolatry.

you are just weird to think this. Like the first person said, God created us. If your not Christian, screw that. Science is not a religion, its a practice and a discovery. Unless your obsessed with that, then Darwins theory and book would be great for you obsessers!

The interesting thing is that DNA is a language.GOD is in each of us. This makes us all connected to HIM.The Bible and how you read it and understand it, is a true reflection of who you are..

I doubt it... We are such insignificant specks in this universe, so small that we hardly even exist to it. What we do now will millions of years from now not even matter...
