As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become.
The scriptures teach us that we will be joint heirs with Christ in the Father's Kingdom. As joint heirs with Christ, we will enjoy all that the Father has. We will become like Him. This all depends upon our faithfully obeying every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God and living a righteous life to the end of mortality. In other words, we need to learn to conform to His teachings and commandments. The fact that we have already slipped beneath that high ideal is not critical. That is why he gave us the principle of repentance and Christ provided the principle of forgiveness through the atonement. We can all clean up our act and become acceptable in His Kingdom and become as He is.
Seek it and never give up.

JESUS WAS ACCUSED OF BLASPHEMY AND CRUCIFIED FOR SAYING HE WAS THE SON OF GOD
Jesus said," John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods. 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?"
THE WORD OF GOD IS A POWERFUL POWER
Heb.4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Matt.26:53;
Jesus could have had 12 legions of angels or 72,000 rather than be crucified, if he had wanted the angels and stopped his plan to save mankind, he gave proof, he will not change his plan Heb.2:9,14,16 he has the right to destroy Satan the devil. Heb.9:14-16; He gave his life and his word on it.
1Cor.15:22-28;
He has the right to destroy death.
2Pet.2:13;
Jesus has the right to make all as perfect as before Eden. Rev.20:1-6 [ No Satan ].
Rev.21:1-5; All is made new.

This depends upon your choice of religion. Some pagans and cults believe in "self deification", the declaration of self god hood.
Scientology does this as does Satanism (both are based on the writings of Aleister Crowley.)
In Japan the Emperor is believed to be a direct descendant of the Sun god of Shintoism.
Other ancient religions teach it as well.

Sure it's easy. I have Scriptures to back me up, see here......
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Yahweh hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For Yahweh doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as Gods, knowing righteousness and evil.
See, all you have to do is disobey Yahweh and don't keep his laws as we are com maned to, and follow the world in doing righteous acts that come from pagan antiquity,such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. No commandment for keeping these pagan holidays, but they sure feel harmless don't they. That is the mixture you were warned against.
Man does not live by bread alone..........
Yahweh wants us to come into his image, and the only was we can accomplish this is to learn what he is like and we get that understanding by keeping His Laws.

Yes. There are many things one must do in order to obtain godhood...but they are all things Heavenly Father will help us with. We believe (LDS) that as man is now, God once was and as God is now, man may become. He wants his children to have everything He has...but has set certain standards on inheriting all he has.
If you would like to know more, contact the LDS misisonaries or go to LDS.org or mormon.org
Good luck.

Yes. For one’s religion is whatever he is most interesting in.
However, the apostle Paul observed: “There are many ‘gods’ and many ‘lords,’” and today the gods worshiped number into the millions. He goes on to say: "For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him."-1Â Corinthians 8:5)
Interesting enough, the modern world has its gods. For example, the Roman Catholic Church worships a triune god, a nameless god, referred to only by his titles such as “Lord,” “God,” “Father,” etc. He is looked upon by Catholics as both a loving and a vengeful god, blessing the good with heavenly bliss, purging the wrong-doers in a fiery purgatory and punishing the wicked for all eternity with excruciating pain in a hell-fire. Many Protestant denominations join the Roman Catholic Church in the worship of this nameless, triune god.
Hence, apostle Paul declared: Men “exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen.”—Rom. 1:23, 25.

You can become "one like" God. By following the Law and wielding the Truth on you lips. It is a life's work.
