No. The slit-like pupils that cats have are so that they can see very well in the dark. When the light around them is normal, a cat's pupil will look like a slit. When it is dark, however, that slit won't admit enough light to allow them to see their surroundings. Because of this, in the dark, the cat's pupils expand greatly horizontally, allowing more light to come in through their eyes. Cats can do this even to the point where their eyes are almost entirely black, so they will never have trouble seeing in the level of darkness.
Humans, however, do not have these kinds of eyes, and, because of this, we are not as well adapted to seeing in the dark as cats are. Do cats look demonically possessed? I suppose so, considering that there is something undeniably sinister about eyes like those. I don't think that there's much behind that, though.

I don't think they're similar at all. Even if they were, one could just as easily ask why reptiles have feline eyes.

actually cats are possessed, but not by demons, by the spirit of reptiles... now the reptiles, i think they are possessed by the demons, but not the mean kind
