okay i'll restate my "Q"...i'm wondering if anyone knows of a tattoo artist in the dallas area, that does charge a grip to do a few tattos. In this case over charging you about $400 like a guy that I know to do something that would only cost about $50 and it's one tattoo. I want three and I'm not looking for some cheap tattoo artist.

I agree with what the other guy said about find an artist by quality of work not by price.Look around in your area, talk with local artists, look at portfolios. You can't get a true idea of somones work by what they have done on just one person.Ive only been worked on by over 8 tattoo artists, each came with diffrent prices and pricing guidelines.I hand choose each. Now I have a favoriate,he costs a little more than the rest but his work is awesome.Just take your time.GOOD LUCK!

Cheap will not ensure a good tattoo. I get my tattoos cheap if not free because I'm a piercer and I trust the guys I work with and the few other artist I know and am friends with do amazing work and they don't mind giving me a deal.

Pick an artist based on skill and professionalism. You'll be a lot happier that way in the long run.

my tattoo artist is phenomenal. he is moving to corpus christi in january. it would be a trip to make but i think his work is wonderful. and while he isn't cheap... you definitely get what you pay for. i can't imagine any tattoo that only cost $50 looking good. check out his website, he did all of the tattoos on the slideshows (he is a custom tattoo artist so all tattoos are 100% original)

You have to understand that it won't cost him only $50 bucks to do. The needles are one time use in most cases, the ink is expensive, there is rent that needs paid, lights that need turned on.....etc. Now if he is any good he should get paid more than that guy who will do it in the bathroom at a bar. If you are not willing to pay a quality price don't expect quality work.

You get what you pay for. Don't pick a tattoo artist by price. Pick by the work he has done.
