The desire to fix him.
Women are nurturers by nature and most women see the bad boy as someone they can fix. We can always see the good in them (even when it's not there) and we'll do everything we can to make them into a better person, until it bites us in the *** so many times we can't take it anymore.
But eventually - if you're lucky - that wears off and that's when all the good guys start getting the girls. It doesn't pay in the long run to be the fixer or the one being fixed.

I'd say low self esteem and no example of what a man is supposed to be in the home while growing up.
It's a sad tale.

you know...i still dont know the answer to that...it is pathetic how us women still take a man back after he has taken us for granted...we give our life and souls for this person and they never want to do the same in return. One who has broke up with me not too long ago...i just look at it this way...good riddance...i will be saving so much money now, I dont have to feed his a** anymore and I dont have to help him figure out how to move out of his parents house...."he will be 30 in January"...how sad...what a loser

Good girls love bad boys. For some reason it has been like this for a very long time.
Some girls need a bad guy to feel like they are in a relationship. The more they are abused or mistreated the more they like it.
Kind of sucks for us nicer guys out there.

She may love him or she has low self esteem and will take him back no matter what. Who knows what emotions women sometimes have regarding whom they like.

You could be desperate. Low self-esteem and you don't think you deserve any better. You love him and you don't know how to let go. Love can be blinding. My ex-fiancee' was terrible for me and months after she left me, I'm still having trouble letting go because I loved her and I let love blind me to how terribly she treated me and all of her other faults that just weren't good for me.

You have low self-esteem...
And if you view everything that he does wrong...then he should start running and never look back.
