The irony is that Haggard is no longer making a fortune from people who supported his tax-exempt church. Oh well, he had a good piece of the business for a long time but now he is free to explore his options.

The sin nature in every man made Haggard gay. God want to give us a new nature, the life of Christ. Haggard like many Christians choose to walk in the sin nature and want no part of dying to Christ. I die that he may live, He died that I might live.

Being gay is a choice. Ted Haggard was obviously not listening to God...quit blaming God for evil.

As a Christian my beliefs are different from most other Christians on this subject. I'm sure my answer will be controversial. I believe that most people who claim to be gay are indeed born with that desire. BUT I believe that the desire to be gay is placed within them as their specific "sin" to overcome. For some people it's an addictive personality and their desire for alcohol or drugs. For some people it's a desire for money and material things. For others it's a desire for members of the opposite sex in an adulterous way. We each have our own "temptation" to overcome.

I believe Ted Haggard attempted to overcome his sin and found hope in his church and in God. Once saved we still have the same temptations and we can still fall prey to our old lustful desires. Ted Haggard is a perfect example of this.

So who brought Ted Haggard down? Was it his lover, Mike Jones? No. God brought Ted Haggard down. He will not allow someone in a position of such power and leadership to preach in his name and represent Him when he is living in sin.

Some see this scandal as a "hit" to the Christian faith. I see it as God showing once again just who is in charge.
