It's not abnormal to have a fever of 101 or so, with the flu.

If you ever have a fever higher than 102, or if the fever lasts for more than a few (2 - 3) days, you should see a doctor.

Well, adults usually are exceedingly sick if they run a temperature over 102. Children can actually run higher temperatures.

Usually, you get sick day one, feel really rotten for about 2 days, then still feel crappy for another 2 or three days.

Once you know you stink and need a shower, you are getting better. I would say start to finish no more than 6 or 7 days.

Try to take in all the fluids you can to avoid dehydration.

Good luck and get well soon.

The body will run at about 37, if you go above 39 then you must see your doctor, the flu can get you down for a good week. Get plenty of rest, keep warm and snug, take a warm vit c drink.
