Well, I am neither but here goes.
Homosexuality is viewed to be wrong by Christians. In fact it is Christians leading the attack on the entire gay culture. Christians actually believe that a homosexual person is a sinner and that they are going to hell no matter how good or bad they live thier life.
Christians do not practice what they preach. They want to "protect marriage". The only problem we have in this country with marriage, is DIVORCE. Christians get divorced all the time without trying to "protect" anyone from it. It doesn't make any sense. They want to run around passing judgement on everyone (which the Bible says not to do) and never once put themselves under the microscope.
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." -- Mahatma Gandhi

I am a Christian, so my opinin on that is I like it. Homosexuality is a sin. It is not genetic and it bothers me to hear that anyone believes God created people that way. But like all other things God gave us a choice in this. We can go his way in the begining God created man and woman or we can choose our own. Why do we say that God created homosexuals but not pedophiles? Our culture has accepted homosexuality as a genetic issue and that people cannot resist their urges or change their behavior. We accept that additctions are dieases. These things are not true. They are very human urges. And they can become a habit that is very hard to break. Thoughts that we may not like (or maybe we do) will always enter our mind. We have to work to overcome them.
HOWEVER, that being said, I do not believe that homosexuals should be treated differently or trusted less than any other person. We all have sin in our lives. And we don't all accept that what we are doing is a sin at the time while we are doing it. They have rights by our laws and they may petition to have more, and if they get them than we as Christians may not break laws to go against them. We may only petition the government to change the laws. I also do not believe that it is fair to say that homosexuals cannot adopt or have rights that cannot be superceded by those outside their lives. They deserve the same rights and respect as someone who lies, or covets, or a person who puts their desires above God. In other words they deserve the same rights as everyone else.
Hope this helps.

Well even though homosexuality is wrong, God still loves them. God will not condone what they do. I believe a homosexual can be saved, but they cannot expect to be saved and continue to be homosexual. When I see the word christianity I think of the book of acts. Many people call there self a christian, but are they. They was first called christians at antioch. That means that others saw Christ in them. I don't have to go around and tell someone I am a Christian they should be able to see it in me.

I am a Christian, but I'm told by some that I'm not a good one because I don't think homosexuality is a sin. Who someone decides to love & sleep with has nothing to do with what religion they are, but the holy roller Christians who constantly quote the Bible & attack people like me of their own faith is really turning me off organized religion

I think homosexuality is a physical and mental deformity. Nothing more, nothing less.
As far as Christianity, well as all the other religions out there i think it has a little of the truth. Over the years many people were able to put their own beliefs in it. One of which is there distasteful opinion on homosexuality.
Being spiritual myself i believe homosexuals are not evil. But i do believe they have some sort of deformity given through birth. How ever i do not get along with most b/c i tend not to get along with liberal people as most of them are.

First of all, God is the same today that he was in the beginning, He created a man and a woman to be a help mate to one another. The bible, which is God's infalable word, speaks in many places where Homosexuality is an abomination in his sight. This is why Sodom (the root word of sodomy) was destroyed in the old testament times. Jesus tells us to love our neighbor as ourselves, not to tolerate the mistakes we make in our lives. Personally, if I mess up my life by doing something someone I love sees, I believe it is their responsibility to bring it to my attention. I love everyone and hope that I can help someone each day. Heaven and Hell are both real places! Did you know that Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven, it's true, read your bible. Not because he was condemming anyone, but because He wants us to know the truth. Listen, Jesus' whole reason for coming to earth was to seek out and save that which was lost. Christ loved us so much that he gave his life as a sacrifice on the cross of calvary to pay all our sin debt. Why? Because we cannot be good enough to get ourselves into God's heaven. I hope that this is helpful to someone out there. Please don't take my word on this, I'm just another person out here giving my opinion, read it for yourself!

Who hates whom? This is always a good indicator of who is in the wrong.
Do gay people as a whole denounce Christianity? No.
Does Christianity as a whole denounce homosexuality?Yes
Do gay people hurt Christians?No
Do Christians hurt gay people? Yes http://www.godhatesfags.com/
Gay people want to be free to love who they are attracted to. Christianity wants to stop them from doing this because they believe they know what is best for everyone in the world.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Who is violating the principals upon which our country was founded (I am assuming you live in the U.S. because this is one of our social issues right now and your name includes NYC, if I am wrong I apologize).

I like the blonde's answer....if Christians are as worthy as they claim then they should be tolerant themselves. Why can't Christianity and homosexuality go together? Why can't homosexuals be regarded as children of God just like the rest of us? I think God loves them too...maybe even more than those that cling to a book.
