before drilling, tape the area criss cross with masking tape this will keep the shell from cracking.

You can use a Dremil tool to drill it. It comes with all sorts of tiny attachments for doing little projects like that! Good luck!

with a small drill bit or a small pointed object like a sewing needle then just tap it where you want the hole
