A. Big Bubba who says he's not going to kill you because if he did the warden would send the guards down to beat him within an inch of his life, and lock him in solitary for a loooong time.
B. Big Louie who says he will not kill you if you give him half of what you own, half of what you earn, walk ten feet behind him at all times, and ask permission before you do ANYTHING.
C. Big Carl who says he will not kill you because he does not want to and doesn't see any reason or need to kil you.
A or B determines how strong of a Christian you are.
C you are an agnostic or an athiest. we do not live our lives out of fear, we live good lives because we want to. not all athiests are good people. Neither are all Christians.

Poor explaination on my part:
This is a hypothetical on religion and why people are good. Do you do good things for fear of God's wraith? Do you do good because you are trained to do as you are told? Or do you do good deeds because you truly want to?
If you do not believe in God, yet you still lead a good life, it is because you are a good person, not because you want to "earn your wings".

This must be a hypothetical question....because, as an Atheist, I wont end up in prison with two Christians and a pacifist!
Obviously, Id take C. However, you ruined the surprise by informeing everyone of the results. Had you not, How many Christians would have picked A and B over C? Or, how many would pick C only to be shocked that this man is an atheist?

Talk about generalizing. A person can be religious and view things from different stand points. A life of fear does not mean constant fear while trying to operate, either. It's a solitude type of fear, left alone, but there. The fear doesn't have to be brought up in every situation.

I'm agnostic, and answer A seems most reasonable. What's to keep you and Big Carl from being complete opposites. If you are then your bound to irritate Big Carl and eventually provoke the desire for him to kill you, and their is nothing to keep him from doing so. Answer B is obviously ridiculous since you'd practically be a slave to Big Louie to keep him from killing you. With Big Bubba you can relax and be at ease since you know he wont do anything.

This is a really dumb question. We do not have to intentionally challenge ourselves just to prove how good or strong we are. We can be very practical as well. I would not want to bow down to "B". "A" might torment me as far as he can as long as he stays out of sight of the warden so "C" seems like the most peaceable option. That has nothing to do with the strength of my spirituality. I am merely being practical. Why should I subject myself to torment needlessly. You said I have the choice so I make the most peaceable choice available.
Our faith will be tested sufficiently without our having to go out looking for tests.

Hmmm, I was going to say Big Bubba because he's clearly all talk and no walk. He would also be easy to manipulate to my own gain, especially in gang wars.
But since I'm an atheist, I guess I have to pick C?

I fail to see how A or B determines how strong a Christian you are. ANYONE with ANY intelligence at all is going to take C, Christian or not. Don't try to be wise, son. You're not good at it.

Waaait a second, I'm confused. Did you just tell me that I don't believe in God because I would rather have a cell mate who isn't going to kill me just because he really doesn't want to? If not, okay. But if so, WHAT? Who's going to pick the first or second one???

Love cast out all fear. God loves us. Of whom should we be afraid? Man? I don't think so.
