Is so, then why? I mean the one who is a Muslim but does not wear a hijab. I have read some answers that were really critical or Islam. The religion really does not hinder, it is very tolerant and peaceful.

I'm not sure if you are the "girl in question". but I feel I need to be honest. honey, I think there is just too much tension in the air concerning those of the muslim faith right now. It's certainly not fair, but with what's going on right now between the US & Iraq, and all the media's attention on suicide bombers, etc... It's just fear caused by the picture painted for us regarding muslims. I will admit, I would be hesitant to engage in an intimate relationship with someone of that faith right now myself. Maybe you should try to educate those who lack knowledge of what you stand for? what your personal beliefs are? that may help. Ignorance is the basis of all prejudice anywhere in the world (in my opinion). I'm sure you wouldn't strap on a bomb and enter a crowd of people just to blow them & yourself into" alibaba land" and think that'll get you into heaven, right? That's just retarded! but that's what some percieve is giong thru the minds of muslims these days. Sorry if I offended you in any way, just thought it may help. Good luck.

I met a Muslim girl in Saudi Arabia who was quite delightful, and I wish that we had lived closer together so I could have gotten to know her better. Like me, she had attended MIT, so we had things to talk about.
