before you punish your dog, why is he barking? If it is for no good reason you can try 2 methods one is get a water bottle and when he barks say NO! and squit him with water, each time you do this he will understand that no really does mean no, the other way is a can of air called pet protector around £9 in good pet shops, when he barks again say NO and spray the air at him, he will hate the noise, it will not hurt him, and again when he barks you say no and your dog will learn that he must not do it. Hope this helps.

You should appreciate a dog which barks. A barking dog would alert it's owner to danger. Some dogs get acustom to lying around and provide no protection and enjoyment to their owners.
Your dog is different.
You have an energetic dog, who appears to be playful and you want to punish him.?
Shame on you, don't you know that a dog is a ""Man's Best Friend"?
Instead of punishing him for barking, just give him away.

why would you put your dog in a trunk??? One should never punish a dog for barking, its like government revoking our right of speech... it should never be done, its not humane.. If you have a dog, you have the responsibility of taking care of the animal, not to own the animal and its actions... hope this helps, it happens a lot...

The easy way to handle this is an anti-bark device. Put it around his neck. When he barks, it beeps. After awhile the dog will avoid barking at random.

With my dog, a squirt bottle did the trick. Each time the dog barks, squirt it a little. It'll startle them so much they'll stop barking. And they probably won't even realize it's you doing it! After a while they'll make the connection-- barking=getting squirted, so they'll stop. Best of luck!

First of all find out why he is barking and whatever you do dont punish him for barking when the front door opens because they will tell you if an intruder is entering and ignore it when it barks for no reson.

If he doesn't get the clue, then there are always collars that shock your dog when he barks. But you should use that as a last resort. You don't want to hurt your dog. Hopefully.

squirt him with a water pistol every time he barks. This will not hurt him but he will not like it and after a while he will associate the barking with the nasty cold water and stop doing it. But you will have to be consistant and patient as this does take time but it does work.
