Carry it on in a clear garment bag... Call the airlline now and make sure your request for storage of the gown in a closet is listed among your special requests... Make sure to request special boarding so you can get your dress stored before the hustle and bustle of general boarding begins.. When leaving the plane wait until most of the other passsengers have left to leave so your dress is not caught in that hustle and bustle either.. Take a magic marker (permanent) and write your ticket number on the garment bag also write a tag with your hotel information in Las Vegas and attatch it directly to the dress (Use a safety pin)... Also slip in a tag with your home information...
If you make the special arrangeents you will have no problems arriving in Las Vegas with you gown..
Please note if the gown is rather large and billowy you might want to use a spacebag garment bag to make carrying it easier and yes it will puff up right out of the bag just like they show in commercials.... Call your hotel and request a vaccuum for replacing the gown in the space bag after the wedding...

I would DEFINITELY carry it on...But you should expect that when you get to your destination, it will be wrinkled from being stuffed into the luggage compartment. Make arrangements to have it pressed when you get to Vegas.
I don't have experience with Delta, in particular. I did, however, watch an episode of "Airline", where the airline employees (I think this was Southwest), were trying to figure out the best way to tell the bride that the baggage carrier had run over her dress. It was torn and stained - completely ruined!
I would definitely carry it on!!!

I would take it with you, you can never be too careful. It's not exactly like loosing your cosmetic bag if you know what i mean. As far as delta goes, i never fly them but i would assume to give you the same advice even if it were any other airline.

it might would desire to slot in a save on that is going the two below your seat, or in the overhead bin--you of course do no longer p.c. to try this. Flights are fantastically lots booked sturdy at present, so gate attendants and flight attendants are fantastically strict approximately imposing shop on standards. i do no longer blame you for no longer wanting to verify it, I observed a checklist on the information the different day that final year, extra bags grow to be lost than ever formerly, and the airways are saying it is going to probable worsen formerly it gets extra useful. the different element you will possibly have the skill to do is purchase yet another seat specially on your gown. besides the fact that, by employing that element, it particularly is low-value to easily deliver it by employing means of Fed Ex--that's what i might probable do. stable success!

With carry on restriction they may not let you carry it on the plane. I transfer my wedding gown from West coast to East coast checking it in and had no problems. Just be sure to let the person that check you in that the luggage is your wedding gown. and requsted if they can take good care of it.

Keep it as close to you as possible, and do not check it! What if it got lost? Also, if they store it in a cabin, they certainly won't keep an eye in it.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I don't think I'd check it. That's a little to valuable to have lost.
