Does anyone else think that you shouldn't be able to view other answers before you put yours in? I've put this in jokes and riddles because I really enjoy them and try to think of a good answer rather than just trying to gain points by putting haha. Am I being sad?

Me being a thicko don't know how to add comments. But saljegi and Whome seem to be on my wavelength.

Not sad at all.
I try to think of a good answer before I post it as well - the points are unimportant.
The one reason I agree with being able to see previous answers is that, if someone has asked for help or advice and have been given the near perfect answer, I wouldn't want to waste my time repeating someone elses answer.

I think that adding some kind of comment makes the answers interesting. If everyone just put lol, lmao, or ha ha funny, then the person putting in the question has to choose from all those answers that are the same… like, eeny meeny miny moe..

With comments, the person has more to chose from, and sometimes the comments are
funny, and add to the joke. But, to each his own.. If they just want the points, fine.

Actually you do have a good point about points grubbing.
In serious things I like to see what others have said so I do not duplicate information. But yes, those who simply put in "Ha" and seldom anything more are not really contributing.
I usually have some comment as to the level of chuckling I get from a joke, or I do not post at all.

I agree. Normally I wait until I have guessed the answer to look at other people's answers to a riddle, but even still...I think that your idea is a good one. maybe they'll make that change in the future...who knows?

9 times out of 10 I try to make up an answer. Sometimes I have a brain fart and can't think of more than hahaha or "it sucks".

What if you don't want to answer - you need to be able to see other answers to make sure you're not repeating yourself. As for Jokes, if you find it funny then LOL or Ha, ha, or He, he - but don't feel guilty for not being original.
