Also, wouldn't it have to be mixed with another breed to become smaller? A breeder in my city is selling them for a very good price but I'm concerned, does anyone have any info on these breeds?

There SHOULD NOT be a "toy" JR. Poor breeders are doing this to a lot of breeds. They breed them smaller and smaller to appeal to those wanting a "tiny" dog. With that kind of breeding, health problems arise. You can do this by breeding smallest dogs to smallest dogs and so on. Never a good idea!!!!!! I would not waste my money!!

there are many different sizes that a jack russel can be and it just depends on genetics and i would have to say that there is no such thing as a jack russel toy terrier. they can be different sizes but they are all considered the same breed and if these ppl cant even tell you the truth about the dog just dont buy it there could be many health concerns

Yes there is such a breed it is called a toy because it is in a group of dogs called a toy group they range from the size of your palm to the size of a cat. To find more go to AKC.gov

in the adventure that your dogs is complete grown at 9 kilos she might only be the runt of the muddle ... there are people who breed the small ones mutually to make "toy" jack russells so consistent with possibility that would desire to be why your dogs is so small ... would desire to be particularly gorgeous however :O)

Toy = When you pull it's tail it runs and goes "YELP YELP YELP YELP." I own one! they are rat dogs and bark at everything. I would not reccomend it in an area that does not allow loud irritating noises
