Why, when another person makes a decision other than what is best for you, do you call that person stupid? Was she, perchance, transferring from one bus route to another? Was that lady having problems walking. Was that lady looking for someone to talk to? Have you ever noticed how talkative older people can be while in the supermarket check out line? Was she in any hurry. Many elderly people make up errands to fill long lonely days. Was walking quicker for her? I'm not yet old, but getting there. Some days I'd much rather wait for and take a bus instead of walking uphill.
The lady you saw was once young like you. And you will be elderly, like her, if and only if you are fortunate to be gifted with a long life.

Try not to judge others unless you want to be judged by all. You/we have no idea why she needed to take the bus rather than walk. She may have a medical condition that precludes her from walking any distance, or, she may not feel safe on the streets and wants the security of the bus. You/we don't know, and for that matter, what difference does it make to you? The true fool is the one that opens his/her mouth and broadcasts the fact to all. Let it be.

Maybe she just had surgery (hips replacements, knees repalcements) and has issues walking more than a few feet without pain.
Maybe she has a mental probelm and didn't know better.
Maybe she was cold and wanted a warm place to sit for a few moments.
Maybe she was lost and confused and realised where she was when she came to the next stop.
Maybe you should be more understanding towards people that you know nothing about.

Maybe she has trouble walking. Maybe she was really tired. Maybe she didn't want to be by you. Why waste energy calling someone stupid that you don't even know, and her actions have no affect on you or anyone else? If her stupidity is the only thing you have to complain about, you have a pretty good life.

You ever think that perhaps she is tired? wore out, did not want to walk, why does it matter, I mean if she is retired, perhaps she has nothing better to do.
There is a plethora of reason why she chose to ride the bus, but none of it should matter to you. Maybe one day, you will be full of arthritis, and realize that she wasn't being stupid, because it hurts like hell, or maybe you like the bus driver.....what does it matter..
I try not to judge, but that is about the most idiotic question I have ever read.

Maybe she had an inpedement that did not allow her to walk very far. Unlike your impedement that does not allow you to show compassion for an older person.
It's a bit like your other question from way back about taking photos of children in a school playground. Moronic!

Old people + public transport = so don't mix. WHY do they wait until the evening rush hour until they decide to go home? They have ALL DAY!
Sorry, but all of my experiences with old people on buses basically equate to them being rude and thinking they own the world. Other people may think differently.

You young whippersnappers don't have arthritic knees and emphysema. I don't know how old your old lady is or how far it is to the last stop, but many people in their late 70s and 80s can't walk a couple of blocks.

Sometimes when it hurts to walk it is better to ride the bus. You can't figure this out and she is the fool?
