I've always wondered this. What would make a person wake up one day and kill somebody else? Some of it is mental problems, but there is a huge proportion of those that just have no care for others.
Shoplifters, thieves, etc. If there was an answer to your question, we could put a stop to it.

I think a better question is 'Why do Good People do Bad things?'.
Bad people do bad things because of their values.

Just like good people feel pleasure when doing good.
