The is half of a name of a bottle of mens cologne that I'm trying to find. In addition, would you happen to know the full name of that cologne, by chance?

La mer : the sea

pronounced exactly like ’la mère’, the mother

compare: ’there’ or the ’mayor’,
but of course the ’r’ is totally different
you pronounce it gutturally, almost at the back of your larynx,
as far as I know there is no such sound in English, sorry!

However if it is an ’eau de Cologne’ you are looking for, I think there is one called ’Eau de Mer’, and as far as I know it is for men.
Good luck!

La = the Mer = sea
the 'a' in La is pronounced like 'a' in father & bar.
Mer is pronounced like the english word 'mare' (a female horse) but has a slight velar/glottal rhotic rather than a 'normal r sound. This is an 'r' sound produced at the back of the throat as opposed to the front of the mouth.

Corona del Mer . This is a hybrid name, the first two words being Spanish and the last French. Mer is pronounced much as one would pronounce "mare".
