Yes! I had no end of probs tried everything including editing my registry - No go - Until - well here's a copy I posted about 3 weeks ago - Good Luck (it nearly drove me mad)
Anyone else had probs with IE7 and Flash updates?
I had tried most everything; installer/reinstall/reg-edit etc.
Flash 9 works well in Firefox - Netscape but no way in IE7 until I installed this stand alone Flash player and now all works well.
Ensure your old player is uninstalled - they are notoriously hard to get shot of suggest you download the uninstaller from Adobe.com
Then download the stand alone flash player and install it.
I know this is not a question but as there are so many having the same problems that I was having I thought that I should post this link.

Remove all traces by doing the following.Press Start, Click Control Panel, Click ADD/REMOVE, Close Window, Press Start Click on My ComputerClick On C:Drive Click on Program Files. If you see ADOBE then Click on to it and pPress Delete You will be asked if you want to dend the file to the RECYCLE BIN Click YES.Click on to the recycle bin and EMPTY the contents[adobe].
Press Start, Click on to SEARCH Click on Files and Folders and type Adobe in the search bar. If any Adobe files appear then Single Right Click on every file and Delete.Go to Adobe website and download a new file or version along with the Adobe Download Manager and follow instructions

I've just realised I'm not going to be very helpful here!!
I had loads of problems with it, the icon to commence the download would not appear on the screen.
Its sorted now but my hubby did it for me. Hes not here to ask but keep going it is possible!!
