My fiance left me, took all his things, even asked for the ring back...

i asked him if he still loved me and he said yes,
and I asked him if he was still "in" love with me and he said yes, and I then asked him do you still want to be with me, and he said "I dont know"...
what does this mean...
If you could give me an honest answer...that would be great...
Thanks,

It means that he may have been cheating on you and cares enough not to have you find out by walking in on them

Let me be brutally honest with you.

This guy's on a fast track to end the relationship.

He knows if he answers your questions with (yes I still love you) etc. --- he escapes without any confrontation or possible scene.

I hate to say it -- but this guy has not the courage to face it like a man, and tell it like it is.

And don't let him give you the "Oh poor me - I'm so confused" routine.
If that was the case, he would not have taken the ring and all.

I know this is trite - and easy for me to say - but you will be better without him.
In time he will be "yesterdays news".
Use your family and friends as support.
Good Luck - God Bless.

the question u shopuld of been asking was... What is the reason ur leaving? Did u have an arguement? all i can say is maybe he is stressed about the whole engagement idea, but to move out AND ask for the ring back... that is EXTREME.

Maybe he needs a break, but all the extra stuff is odd i hope u get some answers

ONe of your female answerers hit it on the head, I think. He's trying to let you down easy. Yes, he probably cares for you, but not enough to marry you. And, that's fine--at least it happened NOW instead of after you were married! And, the jerk asked for his ring back after breaking up with you?! Don't give it back, because he broke up with you--it's his doing. If you broke up with him, the right thing to do would be to give the ring back.

It's never easy when this happens (I've been on both ends). For an in-depth look at how men think and why they act like they do, read (or listen to) "Mars and Venus on a Date" by John Gray, author of "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus." You'll gain great insight to why we do the stupid things we do in relationships. My wife and I listened to it on CD, and it brought us closer.

Well i dont see many answers from men so im gonna say to you that he sounds like hes not sure if he ready for marriage,,,and hes going to take the easy way out for now. Or it sounds like he doesnt trust you for some reason. Unless of course hes cheating on you. Its better that you found out now that he would just get up and leave you before you got married to him. So i would say that hes not the ONE for you.

My fiancee' left me as well. It started exactly this way. Eventually the other questions turned to "I don't know" as well. He's trying to let you down easy. He doesn't want to hurt you by telling you the flat-out truth. I'm sorry you have to go through this, it hurts like hell.
