My husband lives abroad and we only see each other every four months. I take Mercilon in the month we are together but discontrinue it when he is away. Is this bad?

Sometimes you have to be on the pill for a full cycle to be protected. Being on the pills helps keep your periods regular and stopping and starting them over and over may wreak havoc on your hormones.

It's only bad if you didn't want any more babies.

not really but it would cause you periods to be irregular and your hormones to be a bit out of place

Well if you do that, then they aren't working. They don't have the same potency..why would you stop taking them then start taking them again? That makes no sense.
