I was out for a walk. He appeared in front of me. He had only a shirt on in the middle of winter.

I heard no footsteps. I asked him if he knew jesus. He said:I know Jesus personally"

The night was very cold. I was sweating. I felt the unction to give him my jacket and the $20 I had in my pocket.

We were in a basball field with no buildings around. I turned and walked a few steps and turned around to see where he might be heading.

He was no where in sight. What happened? This is a true story.

Heb 13:1-2
13:1 Keep on loving each other as brothers. 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

first, i would not tell anyone , when ever you do something kind for another. When you tell folks , then that is ego.

Look for praise from God, your father, not from those among you that will forget you.

To answer your other question though : every one you meet is Jesus. From the drunk on the street, to the neighbour you hate so much. In everyone, You have a chance at showing your love for God. By doing to them what you would have done on to you, do you treat and show yourself to God.

Follow no religion, just follow the heart of Kindness and you know God. Do not follow the heart of ego and reconition, this leads to darkness. Look to the road of being Unknown by others, yet leaving your foot prints of kind acts within the sands of yesterday, and you will recieve a front door light on from God, your father.

Hey dude, anything is possible. I think it is awesome that you gave him your coat. It reminds me that you never know where and when Jesus will come to you, and that we need to always be prepared. Great story.

You walk up to strangers in the street and ask them if they know Jesus?

Nice 'true' story.

If he had answered that he was Muslim or Hindu or Athiest or Sikh or Jewish or whatever would you have let him freeze?

Very nice thing to do if it is a true story but if your Christian you shouldn't be telling people of your good deeds.

"I asked him if he knew jesus. He said:I know Jesus personally"

If he had said he was an Atheist, would you have acted differently?

Doing good deeds is a wonderful thing...specially when the good doers need NO attention by telling everyone how good they are.
