Poodles are wonderful dogs! I used to breed them, and they are hard to beat..However, they will not look like those at the shows, without a LOT of work..they require daily brushing and professional grooming every 6 weeks...Just to keep them in a pet quality coat condition..

and it is sure something to show your grandmother!

But, when I was a teen, my folks decided to get a poodle..I was mad as a hornet, because my former dogs were a Springer spaniel, and then a Great Dane mix..I thought a poodle was not even a real dog..and was determined that I could never like it, much less love it..but, guess what? that little 35 pound girl just wrapped my hard heart up in her love, and was soon my dear friend..Awesome dogs, they are...

Ye I like pit bulls. You like Golden Retivers you grandparents like poodles. REad your ohter question did not insult poodles. Every breed as its good and bad points. Poodles do shed. As long as you brush a dog everry day shedding is kept low. Inh temperment tests poodlesrate lower the GR and both are lower than piit bulls. Shocking is'nt it

Don't know what you asked that caused her to get mad. But, poodles (standard) are the number two dog for smarts. Now that doesn't mean they are easy to train, because they are BULL HEADED too. I had two of them flunk out big time for service dog work because they refused to even walk on a lead without pulling.

ok if you want some good information on good poodles is go to the AKC.ORG website and check for the breeders section and when you find a poodle breeder ask them questions and they can help you out.

Insalting poodles can be very dangerous. Unsalted poodles are far healthier.

how can you "insult the poodle breed" ther're only DOGs for crying out loud. It seems your gran puts that up there with racism?? Tell her to grow up.
