The cost can vary enormously depending on a great many factors, such as what needs to be examined, whether or not radiopaque dye needs to be used and so on. Suggest you ask your doctor, or call your local hospital and talk to the nuclear medicine specialist.

Funny you should ask...i just had a ski accident and was taken to the hospital without insurace :( My bill ran at about $5500 for the emergency visit, taking up a bed, and the cat scan... unfortunatly it was not broken down, i would assume anywhere from $750-1000 or so depending on what is being scanned...

I'm not sure about an MRI, but I know for sure that a CAT scan costs at least $5,000 in U.S. dollars.

go to the hospital closest to you that has student doctors( a teaching hospital) for one. my b/f could get a MRI for 65 at ours. But a cat-scan is usually cheaper.
