I just recently had to get rid of my 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier because he attacked the neighbors bull dog.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with their Jack Russell being 10 feet tall and bulletproof?

He was terrified of the vacuum but would eat a lawn mower!!

Jack is a nice dog, he was very loving to Humans and we could get him to play with other dogs easily as long as he was off leash, but he punked dogs through the window.
he was a great dog.

We had the same problem with our JR he attacked two pit bulls that put him in the vet hosp. over nite and about three hundred stitches to close up the neck wound he received. the vet said that he suffered from" little big dog sydrome." this was a problem all of his life he was always attacking or running off much bigger dogs.

I have a Jack Russell puppy who is 7mo. old. She in no way attacks anything. She is afraid of the vacuum, the broom, any loud noises. She will run away from cars, bark at other dogs then run the other way. We had company over and she would just bark at the people she didn't know and run and hide by me or my boyfriend. Once she calmed down some, she would go right over to them with no problem. She's the friendliest dog and I really don't see her attacking anyone.

I'm sorry that you had to lose your friend. (However the way you phrased your question was very comical. LOL!)

My little JRT/Beagle was sitting on our boat one day at the sandbar. Some friends pulled up in their boat with 5 Golden's averaging about 90lbs each. The Goldens jumped right into the water and came over to inspect the little 18lb mutt laying my boat.

My dog went bananas! Teeth, snarls, horrible threatening sounds, yelp-howl Beagle noises. He wanted to kill each and every one of them. Once he was put in the water with them, he was fine. It's the strangest thing.

He's possessive when near a human or on a piece of furniture, boat, lawn chair whatever, but really only wants to play with other dogs. I think he would have attacked had a golden jumped into my boat, but like I said, he was fine once we put him in the water.

I also have a jack russel and she is four. But no, she doesnt have the same problem as your dog. Maybe its was raised some sort of way that, made it aggressive. I hope you figure it out so you can keep him ^_^

My puppy is half Jack Russell and half German Shepherd and he's exactly like your dog except he hasn't attacked anyone YET. He's normally calm.

i love jackrussell terriers. i was about to get one but they said that they attack, but i didn't listen. it turned out he was the best dog ever. He was in dog shows and was very obedient. He didn't attack and was always excited for everything.
