From Adam and Eve, came Cain and Abel. How did the two boys reproduce to so many generations?

Read the events that lead to adam and eve induging... Decide for yourselves whose fault was it!


If Adam and eve did not exist... there would not have been any human beings! The first of the species of human beings the revered Adam and Eve were the first to surface on Mother Earth as human beings. Their direct ancestors being the ape family!

Now Adam and Eve came onto this Earth. They had both to act as a family. Both were son and daughter of God. That made them brother and sister. How come they could have fathered children?

In the initial stages of development of human life... nothing existed which we could have called as society or community. It was a raw savage world. As per the theory of Charles Darwin, "it was the time for survival of the fittest". It was the time to do and die.

Words like ethics and morality did not exist for even words did not exist during those times. The Lipi (written form of communication) was developed at a much later stage in time.

Even a brother and sister relationship did not exist at that time. There were only two human beings who had surfaced on Mother Earth. They had to copulate and produce children. They did not do it intentionally. They never knew anything about it.

It was that it happened. They did it and something was born. At that moment of time they would have been extremely surprised not knowing what to do about it. Eventually they would have realized it was one of them.

They reared that child and with passage of time another child was born. This time it was a female child. As this small family progressed further... this male and female child copulated at the appropriate time. And the whole family started to grow.

Now there were two families. With passage of time many more families came into existence. Until this point of time there was nothing like morality and ethics that played any role. For the sake of their survival and progeny these families kept on multiplying.

This was the only way to keep intruders at bay. They had to protect themselves from the wild beings roaming Mother Earth.

Ever since the Revelations of God came into existence... the human being who had invoked these words of God realized that the system had to be ordered at some stage. And some system of morality and ethics came into being.

As of today... the copulation by the children of Adam and Eve was a sin but at that time it was not a sin for the relationship of brother and sister never existed in those times.

The development of relationships in human life came at a very later the stage. It was only possible when the community would have developed into a massive strength. Population somewhere in thousands would have prompted the wise and the elders of those times to separate out into distinct families.

We need to understand that whatever is truth today may not hold tomorrow. In a scientific developing world the values whether they are ethical, moral or otherwise keep changing.

Of course only two children were mentioned in the early part of the Bible. Then later Seth was born to Adam and Eve. Just because only three children were mentioned, does not mean that for 900 years Adam and Eve only had 3 children.

and the list goes on, but it is simply not listed in the Bible.

PS: The Bible does not deny that there were other hominids before during and after the Adam and Eve event.

This discourse should put a wrinke in the shorts of some Egotistical Relilgious leaders who have spent their entire lives so concerned about building their empires that they have sacrificed truth and open-mindedness.

It's make-believe, not a true story. Like Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny. Santa Claus was created so that little children would behave. The Bible was created so that adults would behave. Same thing, just different target audience.

I find it amazing that with all the media that was around at the time of JFK's assassination, 50 years later we still don't have the definitive answer to why he was killed. Yet when it comes to the bible, events that occurred thousands of years ago, in a time where stories where embellished and passed on by word of mouth, some people take it as "the truth".

Anyone who had anything to do with what is now in the bible, was "edited" by leaders of society (Emperor Constantine for one). The goal has always been to conquer lands or to control populations. Religion was the very first form of government.

My father went to seminary to become a Jesuit Priest so I've heard all the "stories" about the bible I can stand. Thank goodness he saw the "real" light and decided to leave and join the real world.

I could go on forever, but I fear that I'm surrounded by a bunch of narrow-minded, brain-washed bible thumpers.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Cain and Abel were the only children of Adam and Eve. To assume so is illogical for the reason you have given.

They had more than just Cain and abel. Plus in the Bible it says that they were only allowed to marry into their own family. Some times the Bible doesn't list the whole family but it is obvious that Adam and Eve had more children!

The Bible does not give us a specific number of children that they had. Adam and Eve had Cain (Genesis 4:1), Abel (Genesis 4:2), Seth (Genesis 4:25), and many other sons and daughters (Genesis 5:4).

Because the Bible does not mention every single human that Adam and Eve produced. As it says they lived hundreds of years, you can imagine if they have one kid per year they could have hundreds of kids. Its not like they only had Cain and Able, they may have had 60 boys and 80 girls, who knows. It doesn't matter though because no doctrines depend on it.

If you did, you would clearly see that God created MAN and WOMAN and then he created Adam and Eve in the Garden. So, the story of Adam and Eve is the story of a blood line...

I don't understand when people say idiot things like "where did cain's wife come from." Go read Gensis. It plainly says he created people on the 6th day. AFTER THAT he created Adam and Eve...

Adam's and Eve's offspring were born in pigeon pairs i.e. they had twins who were one male child and one female child.

The female offspring from the first set of twins married the male offspring from the second set of twins.
The male from the first set of twins married the female from the second set of twins.

That was how their family grew.

The story of Cane and Abel: Cain wanted to marry his own twin sister (the twin who was born at the same time as him). She was supposed to marry Abel. When Abel's sacrifice was accepted by God, Cain Murdered Abel.

I don't recall reading of Abel reproducing. Cain of course married his sister. Genesis Chapter 5 states that Adam had sons and daughters: "And the days of Adam after his begetting Seth are eight hundred years, and he begetteth sons and daughters".
