Just Friday - and confirmed today. A friend was having a final exam before going into the operating room for surgery to remove a lump. She had been treated for breast cancer 2 yrs ago with double mastectomy, chemo and radiation. A lump was found in her check up this year, confirmed with x-rays, confirmed again by the oncologist, confirmed again by the surgeon.
The surgeon was going to draw on her where the incisions would be but couldn't find the lump. Had tests run on Friday and more today - the lump is gone. Praise God.

I think you're not getting answers because your question is a little confusing. Do you mean "Has God ever answered a prayer?" or "Has God ever spoken to you?" The passage you reference simply says that by having faith, you can feel assurance that what you desire will eventually come true. If you want to know simply if God has ever given someone what they wanted, then my answer is yes. I prayed for a good husband; I prayed for a job I enjoy; I have prayed to be useful. These have come true. If a prayer did not come true, sometimes it was because I was impatient and took matters into my own hands (with mixed results), sometimes it was a purely selfish prayer (which I didn't see at the time). Sometimes it certainly seems as if God has not answered my prayers; I don't currently know why, but I believe that eventually I will receive some kind of answer.
If you're checking the Bible, it tells us that we must first align ourselves with what God wants for us. The idea is that the more in tune we are with God, the more likely our prayers will be answered in the way we wish. (There's a specific verse about that--sorry I don't know it for you!)
In addition, there are certainly plenty of stories in the Bible and elsewhere about people's prayers being answered. Whether you believe them or not is your choice. Many people have things that some call answers to prayer, some call coincidence, etc.--it depends what you're willing to believe.

Welllll I get some of the credit for making good decisions, but frankly my good fortune in life is not explicable just like that. I mean, who could guess that my wonderful husband would come with such great in-laws, or that I not only would get to have the two beautiful healthy children I wanted but they'd also luckily be a boy and a girl, just like I always wanted?
Guess it pays for Neo-Pagan Taoists to have faith ;-)

A friend of mine was in the hospital, in a coma. The doctors could do nothing for him. He was breathing on his own, but they didn't know if he'd ever come out of the coma. It was medically induced (due to the surgery he underwent) and he just never woke up. His mom and I prayed for a month and he finally woke up. The doctors were baffled since they gave up on him. They would have pulled the plug had he been plugged to anything.

I prayed to be delivered from tabacco addiction. It didn't happen for a year even though I confessed it to sisters in faith and prayed with them about it. They gave me verses that I read and thought about. That my body is the temple of God, etc.
I gave up when I had my last. I sang the Word of God, and overcame condemnation. I am not under the law of sin and death, I am under the Grace of God. In everything I do in word or deed, I will do in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I sang that out loud. That is voicing Gods written promises. Singing is spiritual. Singing a promise is very powerful. So that was the end of the tabacco addiction. I haven't had any tabacco since.
When we speak out loud a promise, we hear ourself. Faith comes by hearing & hearing a word of Christ / God. Faith is the title deed / substance. So when I heard the words, I guess that was enouph faith to receive the healing. Also, when I submitted to Gods Word, the tempter fled.

I hope for the return of Jesus Christ. I hope that God's will be done.
This is the hope being discussed in Hebrews. It's not about, like, hope to win the lottery, and then winning the lottery. It is about hope that God's will, will be done--the coming of God's kingdom.

Yes, many many things. I believed I would have a small book of poetry published, I did.
I believed I would get a better job, I have.
