I'm wondering why the turds are being left in the toilet for them to eat. Sounds like you're doing the 'If it's yellow let it mellow; if it's brown don't flush it down' procedure. Hope you're eating lots of cat / dog food so that they can get their nutrition.
I spun the bacon on the What Would Bacon Do? wheel, and it came up with "Grease Fire." So there.

Did you have you're cats before you got you're hamsters?
Maybe that could be it. Do you play with, and exercise you're hamsters alot? Cuddle them in front of the cats? And is that cutting down on the time you spend bonding with you're cats?
Somehow, I don't think a cat would deliberately kill another pet for revenge and jeolousy reasons. Only people get that way, some of them.
But they could be watching out for themselves, is all?
But more likely it's just because cats would be the natural predator of hamsters.
Hamsters are vegetarians, and cats eat meat.
