Seriously,we are going to wait,as a matter of fact we just had our first kiss about 3 weeks ago(we have been together for 7 months)because I told him I wanted to take it pretty slow,so what do you think about that?

I agree with you but this is what most people are going to see this as. he's 19, i don't know if he's sexually active or not but waiting two years can seem like a long time. There are some people who can wait, and more power to them but most people are going to think he's gonna want to have sex with you. three years in age difference is not a big thing but it is when one person is 16 and the other 19. all the problems you two may face individually are going to be differnt. your problem would be something simple like friends talking behind your back and a problem he might face is something like, deciding what his major in college is going to be. i'm not trying to go against you, i just wanted you to understand what people might be thinking.

There are too many different life experiences separating the two of you. He is or should be thinking about college and how he can better himself so he can support a family. If he's not interested in college then he should be looking at trade school. He should be concentrating on being a man and you should be concentrating on finishing highschool. You have just begun to think about what you like in boys and what you want in a mate. This older guy comes along and it's flattering that he is interested in you.

Why is a 19 year old...adult....interested in a 16 old girl who is just transitioning out of childhood? He is just becoming a man and you are still a child, I understand you may not agree with that. Your brains are completely different on the scale of development. Your brain has only just begun to become the brain of a woman. He is a fully developed male and you are still developing physically and chemically in your body and brain. Your longing for love and companionship are normal and healthy human desires, but one has to ask themselves...."what does a 19 year old find interesting about a 16 old?" It is likely that if he finds you interesting and attractive and shares his feelings with you, that he is immature and unable to relate with a woman his age. Three years may not seem like much when you are 16 and 19, but those are critical years in which you discover who you are and what your passions in life are. If you attach yourself to a man at this stage of your life, you will cease to mature and find your value and esteem in him. That would be tragic. Listen to whoever is telling you to stay away from him. They have your best interests in mind. You won't be able to wait until you are 18....your situation isn't new and thousands if not hundreds of thousands have walked the same path you are walking now......Enjoy your highschool years and relate with people your own age.

Again...why is a 19 year old interested in a 16 old?

Well there's nothing wrong with it as long as you do as you say. It's just that sometimes after two people are together things change and they expect more out of their relationship, or want more out of it.

Problem is, dating tends to lead to more serious things, so I'm afraid I have to disagree with that statement.
