He didn't call yet today, to let me know. Why not give him a call and ask him yourself?
As Turkey is a member of NATO, I hardly think the US would attack them

Turkey will not invade Northern Iraq unless they want to have suicide bombings from Kurdish separatists everyday everywhere in Turkey. We could levy economic sanctions on Turkey which could crush their economy. The Turkish are very modern and I feel a model for all Islamic states. Think of it this way, sanctions on places like Afghanistan will do very little to them because they have nothing. Turkey which is very modern and has the luxuries that all 1st world countries have come accustomed. If those things were taken away, their people would suffer greatly. I think it is in their best interest to work with northern Iraq and not try to invade it.

um... first off why would Turkey invade Iraq? I assume since you are talking about northern Iraq u mean the whole thing with the Kurds wanting a homeland but that's no reason for Turkey to invade. Anyway if they did we would probably attack them on behalf of the Iraqis.

Yet another reason the U.S. position can't be to split Iraq into three. Everybody knew going in that a separate Kurdistan couldn't under any circumstance be U.S. policy. Obvious even back in Desert Storm days. If things fall apart completely, I'd guess U.S. policy will be to keep Kurdish aspirations reasonable, and I can't imagine how Bush would still be in office should things progress that far. Also, Kurdish Iraq seems to be the one more-or-less sane area, so I'd expect they'd see it as in their interest not to try to incorporate Kurdish Turkey in the forseeable future.
