All 17 species of penguins live South of the equator, some on the costs of Antartica.

Adelie Penguins go southwards across the cold Antarctic to breed. Some penguins travel 100 km or more to reach their rookeries. The Adelie penguins' main grounds are Antarctica and the North Pole where there is pack ice.
The Emperor Penguins live on the South Coast
of Antarctica. The King penguin lives in Antarctica too.
Galapagos penguins are the only penguins who live on the Equator and they also live on the island of Isabela.
Penguins also live on the warmer coasts of South America, Australia and New Zealand.
The Jackass penguin lives on the coast of Africa.

besides the zoo and antartica, there are warm water penguins. there are actually 18 different species of penguins. they can be found in new zealand, south australia, off the coasts or peru, chile, and south africa. some live as far north as the equatorial galapagos islands. but they are primarily cold weathered birds.

They Normally live in the artic, or southern parts of the south pole.....And sometimes live in zoos, at the Bronke Zo they have some penguins there if you want to find out more.....
