I need some help choosing, lol You might think there small but she wants small i know that for sure.

Diamond 1: Would you go for a 1/4 (0.26)carat with very good cut, Colour F, Very Slightly Included2, Excellent Polish and Excellent Symmetry.

OR

Diamond 2: Would you go for a 1/3 (0.30)carat with ideal cut(better than VGood), Colour F, Slightly Included2, Excellent Polish and Excellent Symmetry

They are roughtly same price

I would say go with whichever one actually looks better to the naked eye. You have to remember that most people don't wander around with a loupe to inspect diamonds and can't tell the difference in color and clarity.

Offhand, I'd say a better cut would be better in a good setting. But if the setting hides some of the flaw of the cut, then go with the clearer of the two.

I would go on eBay and see if you can get a used or divorced diamond for cheap and have it reset. You could get her a much bigger diamond for the $$...
And I know people go on about Used diamond but your diamond you buy at the store is not new, jewelers buy and recycle diamonds all the time- and then charge Full price for them.
Just something to think about.

My diamond is 1 1/2 carats so I would go with the bigger one.

Pick the one with better clarity. I have some gemstone rings with small diamonds on the sides that are full of flaws. They really stand out once they are noticed. Clarity is more important to me =) Congrats!

Either one would be really nice - the ideal cut more then makes up for the clarity issues in the second one, so I'd say go with whichever most appeals to you asthetically.

Very slightly included diamonds have inclusions {flaws} are not typically visible to the unaided eye .Slightly Included diamonds have inclusions that are visible under 10x magnification, and may be visible with the unaided eye.Personally I'd go with diamond 1.

my only advice is to go with a colorless, or near colorless diamond. that makes the biggest difference and gives it the best sparkle! also, the inclusions don't really matter as long as they are not completely visible from the top of the diamond with the naked eye. and definitely go with the ideal cut!!

You may also want to ask her what cut of the diamond that she wants. I had someone give me a diamong ring many years ago and I hated the cut - even told my partner what shape cut I prefer and she did not listen to me. I now have a gorgeous trillian cut diamond and new partner and glads that she listened to me.
