I've been cooking for along time. I always clean my seeds and soak them overnight in salt water. Then oil a cookie sheet and spread them on. You should salt them a bit again also. it wont take long for them to cook-I would say around 375 deg for about 10 min, then scrap them with a spatula and bake again for 5 -10 min.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients

small packet pumpkin seeds
salt
oil

Sprinkle the seeds on an oiled baking sheet and cook in a 200 degree oven turning frequently until brown.

Once they are all cooked turn out onto some kitchen paper and soak up as much of the oil as possible.

Serve covered with salt while still warm.

Wash the seeds and spread on a cookie sheet and coat with oil and sprinkle with salt and roast at about 300 degrees until toasty brown. Make sure to turn over and do the same for the other side.

I've made them before and did not soak them in salt water as Cicilass suggested. This year my niece made them and they were delicious. What she had done and said made the difference was soaking them overnight in salt water.
