does anyone know any healthy ways i can loose 15 pounds before christmas? is it possible or the time limit is too short. And if it is possible what are simple healthy things i can do to drop those extra pounds, without including working out or starving myself?

p.s. i am 140 pounds.

The key thing is not starving yourself. It is safe to lose up to 2 pounds a week but you may lose more the first couple of weeks depending on the amount of water you are retaining. Depending on how much water weight you have you may be able to do 15.

I would suggest the simplest things you can do is drink a lot of water (2-3 liters/day). This is KEY to losing weight. The next thing to do is cut out all refined sugars, and flours. The best way to bump up your metabolism is to not go too long without eating (2-3 hours) and get lots of fibre and protein so you feel full longer. For breakfast scramble some egg whites with salsa and veggies (I like spinach) or have some high fibre cereal (low or no sugar), skim milk and fruit. Eat most of your carbs during breakfast and lunch and eat lighter towards the end of the day. Be sure to incorporate healthy snacks in between meals so you don't get too hungry and make the wrong choices.

You can actually have more food than you can eat throughout the day and still be able to lose weight if you make the right choices. Diets with too few calories actually mess up the metabolism and you will just gain the weight back and then some. I would suggest researching what foods have a lower glycemic index. Lower GI foods take your body longer to process and ensure that your blood sugar levels stay stable so you don't get cravings.

I would also recommend adding exercise. Good luck.

The healthy way to lose weight is to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. so you can only lose about 6 pounds. And most of it will be water.

You're 140 pounds. So what? How tall are you? How are you built? Whats your BF %?

Being 140lbs and 6'5 is a whole lot different than being 140 lbs at 4'0". Having a body fat % of 30 regardless of how tall you are and what you weigh is unhealthy

It is probably possible but will be kind of hard. You'll have to work out a ton and cut your calories way down. One way to do this is to eat really small meals every couple of hours (make sure they're no more than 2 or 300 calories and only have 4 or 5 a day). Not a lot of food but you won't feel like you're hungry since you're eating often.

1 pound a week is healthy. You're talking about losing almost a pound a day. It's too late. 140 is not that large, unless you are really really really short.

How tall are you? That is to much weight to lose in that short of a period of time. Just work out and watch waht you eat.
